About Me

Hello! My name is Sadie Shattuck and I am a senior at Michigan State University, where I will graduate with degrees in arts & humanities and social work in May 2019. I grew up in Ionia, Michigan, where I love to go to our annual Ionia Free Fair and eat at my favorite french fry stand.

In general, my academic interests lie in learning how civic engagement, service learning, and community-based participatory research can build sustainable relationships and promote growth and health in communities.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, painting, hiking, doing yoga, and practicing my Spanish. A good cup of coffee, catching up with friends, and traveling to new places gives me endless happiness.
